indications:
Helmex Gold Drench is used for the treatment and control of both gastro-intestinal and pulmonary nematode infections and adult liver fluke infections in cattle and sheep. It should be used in cases of parasitic gastroenteritis and lungworm caused by those organisms sensitive to treatment with Levamisole hydrochloride. Levamisole is effective against mature and developing immature stages of a wide range of important nematode species and is highly effective against the following:
Lungworms:
Dictyocaulus spp.
Gastrointestinal worms:
Trichostrongyles spp.
Cooperia spp.
Ostertagia spp. (except inhibited Ostertagia larvae)
Haemonchus spp.
Nematodirus spp.
Bunostomum spp.
Oesophagostomum spp.
Chabertia spp
Helmex Gold Drench also removes most mature Fasciola spp.
(flukes) present in the bile ducts of the liver. It also overcomes Cobalt and Sodium Selenite deficiency.
Dosage and Administration:
The normal dose is 1 ml per 4 kg bodyweight.
Sheep / Goat:
Upto 15kg : 3.75ml
16-25kg: 6.25ml
26-35kg: 8.75ml
36-45kg: 11.25ml
46-65kg: 16.25ml
6-85kg: 21.25ml
Cattle:
Upto 75kg: 18.75ml
76-125kg: 31.25ml
126-175kg: 43.75ml
176-225kg: 56.25ml
226-300kg: 75ml
Note: For animals weighing over 300kg calculate the dose at 1ml per 4kg bodyweight.
